Become a Club Promoter – Earn Over 100k
What is a Club Promoter?
Club Promoters are people who promote different kinds of entertainment events. These can include events like concerts, club nights, and even college frat parties. The job of a club promoter is to advertise and promote the events to as many people as possible, in exchange for a cut of the proceeds from those events.
Anyone Can Become a Promoter!
You can work for yourself as an individual promoter, or you can work for a company. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
When you work for a promotion company, you have less startup expenses to deal with, and you work with a group of people who have been promoting parties for a long time. This is a great way to learn the basics about becoming a club promoter. The disadvantage is that you are competing for customers with those same people, and the company is making most of the money, you only get a small cut.
If you decide to break off and become an individual club promoter, or start your own company, you can make a lot more money promoting events. You receive a much larger cut when you work for yourself. But this also means you have to put more money up front for advertising and other expenses, plus you have to make the deals with the nightclubs yourself. There is much more work involved, but the payoffs can be big!
How Club Promoters Get Paid
If you become a promoter, there are a few different ways you might get paid. The most common way club promoters are paid is a set amount per person they get to the party. The nightclub or club promotion company might pay you $2-$10 per head. That means if you promoter work gets 100 people through the door on a Friday night, you would get paid $200-$1000 at the end of the night. Cash.
If you run a club promotion company, you might just get a set fee for running the event promotions. This could be $1000 to $5000 for the night. But it all depends on what kind of party it is, how big the club is, and what your reputation and past experience is with sending quality customers to an event. In smaller clubs that only hold 200-300 people, it could be much less.
Sometimes club promoters will also get a cut of the bar sales. The standard percentage for this is 10%, but it can vary. So maybe you only get $2 per head, but you also get a 10% cut of whatever the bar does in sales that night. This can add up quickly if your party customers like to drink a lot!
